ABOUT LUCY

My Pilates journey started in 2012 when, following a back problem, my physio recommended that I try a Pilates class to help with strength and mobility. I started attending a local evening class with a Body Control Pilates teacher and found that Pilates was just the thing I had been missing to complement my running habit and keep injuries at bay! 


Fast forward to 2019 when I was pregnant with my first daughter, and I suffered with PGP (pelvic girdle pain) until I started attending a wonderful antenatal class with a local physio - again Pilates helped to transform my experience of my back pain and quickly became my weekly treat to myself throughout my pregnancy. I loved the way Pilates brough strength and greater flexibility to my body and calm and relaxation to my busy mind!  I loved it so much that during the COVID pandemic I embarked upon the journey to gain my Body Control Pilates L3 matwork qualification, juggling studying and practicing Pilates with my young family and that's what's brought me here today! 


I am passionate about helping others improve their health and wellbeing via Pilates and can't wait to accompany you on your journey to meeting your fitness goals. Get in touch if you'd like to join a class, meet online to practise together, or organise a private or smaller group session.

1:1 and 2:1 Classes

Looking for more personalised attention? I can conduct 1:1, 2:1 or small group classes in the comfort of your own home - this gives us the opportunity for me to be able to give you more tailored exercises for your body, and to help you achieve your Pilates and fitness goals in a more dedicated way. 


Prices:

1:1 sessions: £50

2:1 sessions: £70

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Current group classes are inclusive and cater for mixed abilities; I am experienced in adapting exercises to suit all clients in the class. If you've never practiced Pilates before you may benefit from or enjoy a couple of 1:1 sessions to learn the basics and get tailored support before joining a group class. 


Please bring a Pilates mat (you can easily find these online or I can source one for you) and some water


We will aim to move the body in all directions each session so wear comfortable clothes that you feel happy exercising in.
